The “South Carolina Tort Law Update” seminar is an institutional favorite of attorneys who practice personal injury and tort law. A faculty of experienced and distinguished presenters provide useful guidance on recent developments, with a focus on the kind of practical application that will help you win your next case.

The 2009 program features discussions on the rights and responsibilities of control and “proptorts,” home purchasers, taxing structured settlements, an update on the tort claims act, and on preparing a dramshop case. The program also offers a view from the bench by Justice Costa Pleicones and an important hour of legal ethics by Professor Greg Adams. As always, we will conclude the day with Professor Robert Felix’s annual case law and statutory “review and preview”.

As a companion to this online seminar, we highly recommend that you order a copy of the 2009 SC Tort Law Cumulative Supplement in addition to the downloadable course materials. Order your copy from the tort law section of our online publications store.
