Our instructors discuss recent judicial decisions by Pennsylvania state and federal courts addressing the following liability topics:
Liability of a county child welfare agency and its employees to families for conduct that occurs during the investigation of an abuse allegation or activities that occur prior to any court involvement;
Liability of a county agency and its employees for injuries to a child who remains in the parent’s care, but is known to and/or receiving services from the agency;• Liability of a county or private child welfare agency and its employees for injuries to children in foster care; and
Liability of foster parents for injuries to foster children in their care.
