Since the passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) in 2005, "means testing" is a concept, which is now at the core of consumer bankruptcy practice. This "test" to determine whether a debtor may file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy (liquidation) or whether the debtor is limited to a Chapter 13 filing (requiring a debt repayment plan) had lead to debate and confusion, as well as somewhat inconsistent bankruptcy court opinions, over exactly how the calculations are made in doing the "means test"!
Attend this seminar and hear about the hot issues relating to the §707(b) means test. Our faculty will discuss the latest cases on transportation expenses, retirement loans, special circumstances and much more. Hear from the US Trustees Office, the Chapter 13 Trustee.
