Item Description Back to top
Competing in these tough economic times to cover your clients` insurance risks may call for increased use of advertising, new marketing strategies, better risk management protocols and possibly exploring alternative insurance markets. In this session, learn about Pennsylvania’s advertising requirements, factors to consider in developing marketing strategies and pitfalls to avoid in advertising. Examine the concept of "total cost of risk" and explore how an effective risk management program must address both insured and uninsured exposures. See how captive insurers provide an alternative risk financing method and coverage for certain risks that are otherwise uninsured or underinsured.

This course was recorded in April 2011 at PBI`s 15th Annual Insurance Institute, the premier insurance law event in Pennsylvania. Other sessions from the Insurance Institute are available at PBI`s Online Campus.
