You may be surprised to learn just how vulnerable your electronic communications are to security risks. Blackberries, iPhones, PDA`s, cell phones and email servers are all vulnerable in some way. Protecting your confidential communications and your clients` interests becomes more challenging as technology becomes more sophisticated and pervasive. Our instructor explains the latest security threats facing users of electronic devices, and offers tips on how to make your devices more secure. Next, he discusses the realities of email security and the risks of not having an email security policy in place. Finally, he examines the ethical issues surrounding the metadata that accompanies virtually every electronic document you read and write.

This course was recorded at PBI`s "A Day on Real Estate," cosponsored with the PBA Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section. Geared for experienced real estate attorneys, A Day on Real Estate offers six one-hour sessions on a variety of timely real estate topics.
