Experienced child and parental rights advocates discuss recent judicial decisions and legislation. Specific topics include standing in child abuse expungement matters, corporal punishment, discovery of a child's medical records, "sexting" and the constitutional rights of students and their parents, and myriad procedural and substantive issues that arise in child dependency and parental rights cases.

This course was recorded in April 2011 at PBI's day-long seminar, "Current Issues for Child Advocates 2011". This annual seminar is your one-stop-shop for a complete summary of all significant case law and legislative developments, exposure to up and coming trends, and learning play by play strategies for best representing your juvenile clients. Other sessions from the seminar are available on PBI's Online Campus.
