Experienced municipal and land use attorneys bring you up to date on land use law. Examine the latest pronouncements of the Pennsylvania appellate courts on a range of topics including: the jurisdiction of a zoning hearing board to raise issues sua sponte; application of the Hertzberg criteria in variance cases; applicability of industry standards in exclusionary zoning cases; non-conforming uses; approval of settlement agreements in land development disputes; what constitutes an unreasonable condition in connection with the grant of a conditional use; and issues with subdivision and land development plans, including minimum lot size requirements. Our instructors also discuss pending legislation on review fees and permit extensions.
This course was recorded in March 2010 at PBI`s Land Use Institute. Other sessions from the Institute are available on PBI`s Online Campus.
