The law aims to protect consumers by requiring residential home improvement contractors to register with the Attorney General`s office and provide customers with written contracts in most cases. Our instructor explains the important provisions of this new law, including registration requirements, terms that must be included in a contract, voidable contract provisions, and criminal and civil violations. She also offers tips for contractors to comply with this important new law.
