Item Description Back to top
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers a significant number of financial incentive programs for a wide variety of business purposes. These financial assistance programs exist to encourage businesses to locate or expand operations within the state and to create or retain jobs. More recent programs are also designed to support and grow strategically important industry clusters within identified regions of the state.

For businesses, access to state incentive programs can help to reduce the cost of financing capital projects or the burden of state or local taxes. But state financial programs are not for the unprepared. Your client needs to fully understand the conditions and restrictions that accompany the use of state funds. This course is designed to provide an overview of Pennsylvania`s economic development incentive programs, summarize their use and targeted businesses, and highlight program characteristics of which applicants should be aware when pursuing such incentives.
