The general practitioner is required to be aware of and recognize immigration law issues that arise in many areas of general practice including family law, criminal law, and business and employment law. Advice that would be appropriate for a U.S. citizen may not be appropriate for a non-citizen client, and may well jeopardize the client’s future ability to work or reside in the U.S.This program will alert the general practitioner to the areas of practice which contain immigration law land-mines and explain how to advise and guide the client.
