This session will not only bring you up to date on the latest False Claims Act cases, but you'll hear the unique perspectives of the panelists about the strengths and weaknesses of the decisions. Specific topics include when government attorneys may interview current and former employees who are not represented; when violations of government regulations or contracts also constitute a FCA violation; implied certification theory of FCA liability; sufficiency of relator's pleading; and how a plea agreement can thwart a relator's status as an original source. Always a crowd pleaser!
This course was recorded in October 2011 at PBI's Day on Health Law. Other sessions from this day-long seminar are available at PBI's Online Campus.
