This session from PBI`s 13th Annual Federal Securities Law Forum is devoted to the latest developments in SEC enforcement and private class actions. Specific topics include:
  • Current activities of the SEC Enforcement Division, including changes in its structure and operations following the Madoff scandal;
  • Insider trading update, including the latest on the Galleon case, and the SEC`s Cooperation Initiative;
  • Private securities litigation developments and strategies; and
  • Economic analysis in securities litigation

In the final hour of the program, the panelists use a hypothetical to analyze the impact of the principles and cases discussed on public companies and their directors and officers.
