The planning and permitting of water facilities in Pennsylvania is primarily governed by the Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Act. However, this main source of regulation is cross-connected with numerous federal, state, and local laws, regulations, plans and policies – as well as certain private contractual agreements. Learn about such topics as water infrastructure; planning and permitting considerations for a project; Pennsylvania`s Sustainable Water Infrastructure Task Force; and the Framework for Sustainable Watershed Management. Our instructor also emphasizes compliance requirements, including those found in the Safe Water Drinking Act, Water Resources Planning Act, Municipality Authorities Act, Municipalities Planning Code, Municipal Codes, and various state and federal regulations.
This course was recorded in March 2010 at PBI`s Land Use Institute. Other sessions from the Institute are available on PBI`s Online Campus.
