[NOTICE about CLE Credits]: This course is 5 hours long and accredited for 5 hours of CLE. BUT For practical purposes, in Pennsylvania you will only be able to use 4 of those 5 credits. In Pennsylvania only 4 hours of distance education can be used toward your annual 12 credits, and distance education credits cannot be carried forward.]

If you handle estates, having an understanding of how Pennsylvania’s inheritance tax works is essential. In this course, we focus on preparing the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax return. After starting off with a refresher on Pennsylvania inheritance tax law, you’ll walk through a series of examples of inheritance tax returns, from the simple estate to the more complex one. Paul Dibert, Business and Valuation Trust Manager at the Department of Revenue, joins our terrific faculty of experienced estate lawyers. They will guide you through these sample estates highlighting the commonly mishandled items and other issues that can be particularly troublesome.

The emphasis will be on the practical, "real world" problems that arise and how to deal with them when preparing the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return and accompanying schedules. Come and get your questions answered in this popular course about one of the most important components of estate law practice – the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return!

Recorded during a live webcast in October 2010.
