Court administrators and judges explain the requirements and procedures for electronic filing (or e-filing) in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Trial Division - Civil and the Office of the Prothonotary. The court`s new (and now mandatory) e-filing system allows civil cases to be filed over the Internet from anywhere using a personal computer. It also provides attorneys with quick and easy access to all papers filed in their cases from anywhere at any time. Anyone handling civil cases in Philadelphia should become familiar with the e-filing system.
