Did you know that effective March 1, 2011, all attorneys are now required to participate in IOLTA unless exempt from this requirement pursuant to Rule 50(1)(F). Intended for all NH Lawyers and law offices that maintain a client trust account, this breakfast forum will review the requirements of Supreme Court Rule 50, the Professional Conduct Committee’s random compliance review program, and the most commonly encountered problems when examining lawyers’ trust accounts. The faculty will also discuss various systems, procedures, and safeguards available to assist lawyers in avoiding trust account problems.

Bar members are encouraged to attend with their bookkeepers or office managers. Because lawyers may delegate trust accounting tasks, but not responsibilities, a lawyer should accompany non-lawyer attendees.

The NH Supreme Court Rule 50 Trust Account Compliance Certificate filing deadline is

August 1. The handbook is an invaluable tool for the proper management of your client funds. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your questions answered from the experts and minimize any future problems.
