Here is a description from the live seminar.

This seminar concerns the latest developments in the field of medical malpractice litigation. Moderated by Peter Hutchins, this seminar features a presentation by Superior Court Chief Judge Robert Lynn and the committee of judges and attorneys that developed guidelines, procedures and rules to govern medical malpractice screening panels. The mission of the committee chaired by Judge Harold Perkins was to establish consistent procedures for the panel process. In addition to Judge Perkins, the committee consisted of Judge Philip Hollman and a team of experienced attorneys: Mark Abramson, David Gottesman, David Slawsky, Mark Attorri, Ron Lajoie, Greg Peters and Pete Mosseau.
Judge Lynn provides an overview of the process, along with a report of the panel results since the screening panel law took effect in August 2005. Committee members review the issues the rules are designed to address, including the timing and length of the hearings, the limited use of offers of proof, submissions required 30 days before the hearing, submissions required 10 days before the hearing, recusal issues for panel doctors and panel lawyers, and penalties for last-minute cancellation.

This program will be of interest to all who practice in the area of medical malpractice litigation.
