Two nationally recognized speakers, including one of the primary drafters of the Stark II, Phase III Final Rule, provide a complete review of the Stark Physician Self-Referral Rules in this 4 hour session. Beginning with the basics and a history of Stark, the speakers will quickly move to an advanced discussion of the Stark II, Phase III rules and currently proposed changes to the rules. The speakers will also discuss recent regulatory activity with respect to the anti-markup rules and how those provisions intersect with the physician self-referral rules. The program will include hypotheticals to promote an understanding of the proper application of the law in context. Our speakers will also provide an update on the status of the recently proposed changes which are expected to significantly impact current and future health care transactions.
