The
Massachusetts Bar Association Partners with LegalSpan to Provide Online CLE to
its 19,000 members
LegalSpan is pleased to announce its partnership with the
Massachusetts Bar Association to provide both live and archived online CLE to
Massachusetts lawyers.
The Massachusetts Online CLE
Catalog is located at: http://www.legalspan.com/massbar.
The catalog will be launched with a over 50 seminars shared from
other LegalSpan providers such as CLESource, Business Professionals
Network, the State Bar of California and others and will continue to grow as the
Bar begins to include its own content.
"Offering live and archived CLE programs in
conjunction with LegalSpan is a big plus for our 19,000 members. The need to
expand or refresh one's knowledge and expertise is critical for all attorneys -
but so it the need to maximize one's time.
Recognizing that no one has enough time to attend all the in-person CLE programs
that are available, we believe our busy members are prime candidates for what
we're calling 'CLE on your own schedule.' This is the perfect complement to our
own CLE offerings."

As with the Connecticut Bar and other non-mandatory
bar associations, Massachusetts faces the challenge of enticing its membership
into trying a new technology when it is not being mandated to do so by some
external factor such as MCLE. Success in non-mandatory states requires a
system that is very easy to use as well as a system that provides a rich
educational experience. We are constantly evaluating and enhancing our
system in order to provide the means for non-mandatory bars to see the same kind
of growth and success as our mandatory states and welcome the opportunity to
continue to grow our system with the Massachusetts Bar.
