State Bar of California through its partnership with LegalSpan, has been able to hit the ground running with respect to providing high quality online video continuing legal education to its membership. The initial release of the catalog will contain more than 90 hours of content!
The online CLE catalog for the State Bar of California is located at http://www.legalspan.com/calbar/.
The Bar expects to double this initial offering within the first few months of the contract through LegalSpan's content sharing program and by using LegalSpan's production department to video tape future Bar programs. More than 30 hours of online CLE seminars will be taped during the State Bar Section Education Institute in San Diego, CA January 18-20, 2002 and an additional 30 hours at the State Bar of California 2002 Annual Meeting.

LegalSpan will also be providing The State Bar of California members with free access to its Update on the latest cases and issues pending before the United States Supreme Court which it obtains through its affiliation with the CLE Options Network and the Georgetown University Law School Supreme Court Institute. The 15 minute seminar, accessible in audio only, video and in transcript form, is designed to provide an easy, no cost and interesting way for attorneys to experience online continuing legal education. This seminar is updated quarterly and is available to any affiliate of the LegalSpan Network.
