The program provides an update on recent developments in the Brownfields Program in North Carolina and practice tips for attorneys representing clients in determining the advisability of, and their eligibility for, entering into a Brownfields Agreement with the Brownfields Section (the “Section”) of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (“DENR”). This program provides guidelines for giving Brownfields project managers needed information upon first submittal. Topics include recent amendments to the act, eligibility requirements and negotiating the Brownfields Agreement.
