Item Description Back to top
There is no question that we are in the midst of a medical malpractice crisis, the cause of which is in dispute. This program is an overview of what the causes might be. Several of the topics discussed are: physicians being forced to change or leave practice due to rising insurance premiums, the trial lawyer’s side as consumer advocates, the adequacy of compensation, voluntary caps on damages and the proposed AMA model legislation. The program concludes with a mention of proposed North Carolina legislation.
