MORE INFORMATION:

Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Credit
NC State Bar MCLE rules require attorneys to complete twelve (12) hours of MCLE per credit year. To satisfy this requirement, you may take up to four (4) hours of computer-based training per credit year.

This means up to four hours of Online CLE or Podcasts, or a combination of both, not to exceed four hours credit annually. You may apply up to four (4) credit hours of computer-based training to a CLE deficit from a preceding calendar year. You may carry over to the next calendar year no more than four (4) credit hours of computer-based CLE.

Live CLE Webcasts and Webinars do not count against the four-hour limit for computer-based training. All twelve (12) NC MCLE credits may be satisfied online with live CLE Webcasts and up to four (4) credits of both Online CLE and/or Podcasts. We report your CLE credit to the NC State Bar.

Become a Passport User
Use a NCBA Virtual or a Hybrid Passport to minimize your yearly costs of online CLE with one low annual enrollment fee while maximizing your learning opportunities.

A Virtual Passport will allow you to satisfy all of your CLE requirements online; a Hybrid Passport will allow you to do the same but also gives you the option to attend some live programing.

For details about these Passport options, please see:
www.ncbar.org/cle/passport.aspx

My Account
After you have made a purchase, you can access your account at any time by logging in using the green button, Log In | Sign Up, on the right-hand side of the page. Your email address and created password will be required to access your online CLE account.

If you purchased or accessed your account on the computer you are currently using, then your computer's cookies may remember your account information and already have you logged in.

If that is the case, then Hello and your first name will appear in the gray bar in the middle of the page and the My Account gray tab will be located on the right side of the page. Just click on the My Account gray tab to access your current and prior purchases.

Access after buying: Once you have purchased an Online CLE program, a CLE Webcast, a Podcasts, a CLE Webinar program or made a CLE Stacks purchase, it is accessed the same way, regardless of what computer you are on. You can access an Online CLE from a different computer and it will start from the point in the Online CLE where you last stopped.

  • Go to www.ncbar.org/cle.aspx and then click on the link that you used to get to the catalogue page (usually Onlline CLE, Podcasts, CLE Webcast, CLE Webinar or CLE Stacks).
  • Once on the page, you will see a printer icon on the right side of a Navigation Bar.
  • Right below that are the Log In and Sign Up links.
  • Click on the Log In and then enter your email address and password in the boxes for returning customers.
  • The page will open on the My Account tab, but if you do not see your unfinished programs click on the My Account tab again and they will load.

Change Profile Information: Update your -mail address, change your mailing address and your password, print a Certificate of Participation or download copies of the handout materials via this account page. Changes apply to the online CLE system only and not to your information on file at the North Carolina Bar Association.

Complete Purchase & Credit History: Select the My Account tab and log on to view and print a copy of your purchase history.
