Item Description Back to top
Any member of the North Carolina State Bar may request a ruling from the State Bar on the professional conduct of a member of the State Bar. This program makes clear the process the State Bar uses to respond to inquiries by members who are unfamiliar with the procedure for ruling on questions of legal ethics. Some of the many topics covered are the ethics process, the overview of a complaint, what happens when a complaint is filed, and what can the grievance committee do? The program concludes with a discussion of the Disciplinary Hearing Commission members.

"1) In my first time on the site I accidentally selected and paid for a demo different from the course I wanted. The course provider and the Bar staff were very responsive in straightening out my error. 2) I had to download a newer version of Windows Media Player and the support person (Steve/Scott?) was extremely patient and clear in walking me through the steps. 3) A few times the Player skipped, maybe a sentence. I could not get it to rewind just a little to re-listen. But I don't think I missed more than 2-3 sentences on 2-3 occasions of this happening. Overall a good experience and I will definitely use this again. Thank you." (Greensboro, NC)
"Good program!" (Asheville, NC)
"The PowerPoint handout with space to take notes is especially helpful in an online CLE although at times the slide on the printed handout was a little hard to read due to the reduced size. However, I just made a note in the margin for anything that was hard to read. Speaker was effective and easy to follow." (Winston-Salem, NC)
"Presenter was outstanding." (Research Triangle Park, NC)
"informative discussion" (Durham, NC)
"Extremely informative." (Charlotte, NC)
