This seminar provides an exclusive opportunity for those in the legal profession, to analyze and explore the role of Ethics in the business of sports. The high pressure and intense expectations of success influence decision makers in all areas of elite sport, college or professional. These pressures continue to produce numerous cases and situations that can be criticized from both an ethical and legal standpoint. Political dynamics and economic pressures within the collegiate and professional sport arenas, continually question the interpretation of specific legislation and the ethical fabric of its intent.
The purpose of this seminar is to provide an overview of salient legal and ethical issues facing attorneys in the area of sports and entertainment law. Attorney Klark Jay Perez, practicing attorney for twenty years, hosts Dr. G. Lynn Lashbrook, who offers a unique perspective on sports. Dr. Lashbrook has amassed over thirty years experience in sports administration, management and teaching, as a collegiate athlete, collegiate coach, Academic Advisor, Athletic Director, NFL Agent, and adjunct professor. He currently teaches sport management, both domestically and internationally, and is the President and Founder of an international sports management company. During this seminar, Dr. Lashbrook will reflect upon his vast experiences, highlighting ethical issues facing the legal professional with an interest in the business of sports. |

This was really an outstanding program. I have competed in sports for years. But I never really knew what a sports agent did to earn their fees. And I certainly did not know anything about the potential conflicts that an agent might encounter. Dr. Lashbrook is an excellent speaker and I have already recommended this program to other attorneys in my firm.

My interest at this time is not in sports management but some aspects of the agent/sportsman relationship is similar to the attorne/entertainer relationship. So, the presentation reinforced some methods that I currently use and gave me food for thought in others. Rated 5 out
