Unlike court, Attorneys will not speak for or represent their client during mediation. Attorneys may be present at mediation to advise their clients regarding issues of law that might not be clear or require their Attorneys recommendations. Advocates generally play a very limited part in mediation and should have their specific purpose defined prior to mediation.
