James Pietz, Esq. Pietz Law Office, LLC, Pittsburgh Mr. Pietz has been engaged in the prosecution of consumer class action litigation since December 1989, when he joined the law firm of Berger, Kapetan, Malakoff & Meyers. Mr. Pietz practiced with the firm, which later became Malakoff, Doyle & Finberg, P.C., until January 2007 when he established Pietz Law Office LLC. Pietz Law Office LLC concentrates its practice in consumer protection and class action litigation. Mr. Pietz is a graduate of Marquette University (1982) and the Chicago-Kent College of Law (1987). Mr. Pietz has been given the highest possible rating (AV) by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Mr. Pietz has been a member in good standing of the bars of the State of Illinois since 1988 and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1989. He has argued numerous cases in the federal appellate courts and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Tenth and the District of Columbia Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Pietz is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Western District of Pennsylvania.
