LORNA STATEN SYLVESTER graduated from Florida State University Law School in 1997.She first moved to Atlanta, Georgia and was there for almost a year before relocating to Seattle, Washington. Lorna worked at Northwest Defenders Association from 1999 to 2000, practicing in Seattle Municipal Court as a defense attorney during that time. In August of 2000, she started working as a prosecutor with the City of Seattle until 2005 before relocating back to Atlanta From 2005 to 2007, she practiced as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor in the Atlanta area until deciding to move back to Seattle with her son. She has practiced in the Domestic Violence Unit and on the general trial teams throughout her career and has conducted countless trials. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her son, traveling back to Florida, to visit family and shopping.[December 2011]
