Shelley DiGiacomo is a member of the following practice groups at Osborn Maledon: Venture Capital, Angel Financings and Private Placements; Corporate and Securities; and Emerging Ventures; Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Transactions. Shelley is a transactional attorney and counselor with broad experience representing clients in a variety of business transactions and corporate governance matters. She has led and teamed in the strategizing, negotiation, execution and closing of a wide range of deals and business matters, from formations of both non-profit and for-profit companies to exempt securities offerings for private companies, securities law compliance matters for public companies, commercial contracts and mergers and acquisitions. Shelley has varied industry experience, including representing startup technology companies, lobbyists, food manufacturers, recreational service providers and healthcare technology companies.Before joining Osborn Maledon, Shelley practiced with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Her practice began in Cleary's New York office, where she spent two years, and then she transferred to the firm's London office for two years. While at Cleary, Shelley's practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, high-yield debt offerings and other financing transactions, including representing sovereign nations in Latin America in offerings of debt securities.Outside of the practice of law, Shelley is an avid cyclist. She has participated three times in El Tour de Tucson, a 109-mile bicycle ride to benefit charity. Shelley rides with the Uphill Into the Wind team. Uphill Into the Wind is a non-profit foundation that offers the opportunity of a loaner bicycle to individuals who are registered in a qualified 501(c)3 charity ride and cannot afford to purchase a bicycle of their own. Shelley also serves as the Vice-chair of the board of Community Information and Referral.
