Ms. Montgomery is a member of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott and chair of the litigation group for the firm’s Harrisburg office. She maintains a wide-ranging commercial litigation practice in state and federal courts in and outside of Pennsylvania. Ms. Montgomery received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Penn Law/Wharton Labor Law Journal. She served two terms as law clerk to the Honorable Sylvia H. Rambo in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, which inspired her service to bench and bar throughout her legal career. In recognition of her service, Ms. Montgomery received the Middle District Court’s 2009 Outstanding Service Award. Ms. Montgomery currently serves as Third Circuit vice president of the Federal Bar Association, and is the longstanding CLE Chair of the FBA’s Middle District Chapter, for which she also has served as president. She is a past chair of the Middle District’s Lawyers’ Advisory Committee, has chaired a Middle District Magistrate Judge Reappointment Committee, and served on the Selection Panel for another. Ms. Montgomery is past chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Committee on Rules of Evidence, past member of the Third Circuit’s Lawyers’ Advisory Committee, past vice chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Federal Practice Committee, and past member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Appellate Rules Committee.
