Mr. Samel is a partner in the Montogomery County firm of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin. He focuses his practice on structuring and implementing business transactions, tax planning for closely held businesses and individuals, and family business succession. His work includes assisting clients with all legal and tax aspects of the formation and operation of various business entities, and he has substantial experience in negotiating and completing the purchase and sale of businesses, including asset purchases and sales, stock purchases and sales, corporate reorganizations, and other similar arrangements. He is chair of the firmís Automobile Dealership Group, which assists automobile dealers with the acquisition and sale of dealerships, franchise litigation, succession planning, tax and estate planning, real estate law, environmental issues, and other regulatory issues affecting automobile dealers. He is also a member of the firmís Gas Leasing and Development Group. Mr. Samel serves on the advisory board of the Delaware Valley Family Business Center. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester (B.A. 1974), and his law and masterís degree in tax law from Temple University (J.D. 1978, LL.M. 1990).
