Vice President O'Brien & Gere East, East Norriton Dr. Schew is a Vice President at O’Brien & Gere in East Norriton, PA. He has over 26 years of experience in both industrial and academic settings and often serves as an industry liaison to state and federal agencies in situations involving human and ecological exposure to hazardous chemicals. As Vice President at O’Brien & Gere, Dr. Schew leads an interdisciplinary group of scientists that focus on a variety of disciplines including exposure assessments, human health and ecological risk assessment, habitat restoration, NRDA, environmental permitting, wetlands and stream mitigation banking and habitat restoration. Dr. Schew was involved with other industry leaders and government officials in the development of U.S. EPA's Ecological Soil Screening Level (Eco-SSL) Guidance and he participated on the Remediation Technologies Development Forum, Sediments Remediation Action Team. Dr. Schew is recognized by the court as an expert in vapor intrusion assessment, human health and ecological risk assessment, and quantitative environmental modeling. He provides technical support to legal teams in the form of document review, site inspection, written opinions and affidavits, as well as expert testimony at depositions, hearings, and trials. Dr. Schew received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and has had appointments at Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and West Chester University and served as an NIH Post-Doctoral Fellow at the UCLA Medical Center. He publishes in scientific journals and has authored over 100 scientific papers and presentations. |
