Hon. Joseph N. Laplante Chief Judge US District Court, District of NH, Concord Hon. Joseph N. Laplante was appointed as the chief judge of the US District Court for the District of NH in November, 2011. He has been a US District Court judge since 2007. Prior to his judicial appointment, he was the first assistant U.S. attorney in Concord, NH. Judge Laplante earned his law degree from Georgetown University in 1990. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Judge Laplante practiced with the Wiggin & Nourie law firm in Manchester, NH and the NH Attorney General’s Office in Concord, NH. 5/12 TL
