Jeffrey K.  Cole Director Law Firm Group Investment Finance Citi Private Bank Citigroup Inc., New York Jeffrey K. Cole was appointed Investment Finance Director in Citi Private Bank’s Law Firm Group April 2010. In this capacity, he manages a team of specialists charged with origination and ongoing relationship management of a credit portfolio currently comprising 75+ law firm relationships in the U.S. Northeast (Boston to Philadelphia) with $2 billion in facilities. Mr. Cole joined Citigroup in 2006 as a senior risk reviewer for Citi’s Institutional and Corporate Group (ICG), where he led project teams auditing credit risk processes, controls and diligence in such business units as global commercial real estate, asset-based finance, bank, broker/dealer and hedge fund counterparty risk management and the credit reserves process. Mr. Cole began his banking career in 1983 at former New York money center bank Manufacturers Hanover Trust, where he was credit trained and worked in the bank’s International Division, managing trade finance and correspondent banking relationships with customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. At The Industrial Bank of Japan, Limited between 1987 and 1999, Mr. Cole held a series of progressively more senior positions in origination and risk management of U.S. corporate, leveraged finance and media and communications relationships for the bank. Immediately prior to joining Citi, Mr. Cole worked for six years at GE Capital in origination and restructurings of securitization, lease and senior secured financings focusing on the telecommunications, entertainment and technology industries. Mr. Cole was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., from which he received a Bachelors of Science degree (summa cum laude) in Languages and Linguistics in 1978 with a concentration in French and Arabic. He obtained his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1983. Mr. Cole has three children and lives in Westchester County, New York.
