QUANAH M. SPENCER is of counsel and vice chair of the Tribal Practice Group in the Seattle office. His practice focuses on providing strategic legal advice to tribal governments, businesses and individuals on matters related to government regulation, taxation and government investigations. Mr. Spencer also provides advice t to tribal governments, businesses and individuals in. matters related to business formation, operations, governance, risk response and management and gaming.

Mr. Spencer is a member of the Yakama Nation. He grew up in a small town located in the center of the Yakama Reservation where he learned the value of community relationships based upon mutual trust and respect. Mr. Spencer developed his professional leadership skills while working at his family's logging company and later when he worked as a forest firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service. Mr. Spencer's legal experience includes legal representation of the Yakama Nation, Coeur d'Alene Tribe and the National Congress of American Indians.

Mr. Spencer provides his clients with unique legal counsel that recognizes, embraces and furthers business objectives. Mr. Spencer assists businesses and individuals navigate government regulatory issues and agencies. In addition, he advises clients who are the subjects of criminal investigations or prosecutions related to their conduct as officers or employees of a business entity.
