Gary N. Bloom Harbaugh & Bloom PS, Spokane, WA Gary N. Bloom is a partner in the law firm of Harbaugh & Bloom, P.S., where his trial practice is limited to personal injury and insurance disputes, with a primary focus on third party litigation involving injuries/death on job sites. He primarily represents plaintiffs but has limited experience representing defendants. He frequently serves as a mediator and is often selected as an arbitrator for UIM claims and other stipulated binding arbitrations or private trials. Since 1992, Mr. Bloom has devoted approximately one-half of his practice to alternate dispute resolution and has conducted in excess of 1,500 mediations and arbitrations.Prior to forming Harbaugh & Bloom, Mr. Bloom was associated with and a partner at Richter, Wimberley & Ericson from 1974 -1983. He has served as the annual co-chair for the WSTLA Insurance Law Seminar, is a frequent seminar speaker, and has guest-lectured at Gonzaga Law School regarding insurance law, torts, products liability law and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Bloom served on the Washington State Trial Lawyer's Association Board of Directors from 1980 to 1982 and again from 1985 to 1987, and acted as chair of the WSTLA Amicus Curiae Committee from 1991 through 2000. He is currently a member of the WSAJ Foundation Amicus Committee. In 1989 he received the President's Award from WSTLA. Mr. Bloom was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2002.[November 2010] |
