Lawrence W. Vernaglia Foley & Lardner, LLP, Boston Lawrence W. Vernaglia is a partner with Foley & Lardner, LLP in Boston, MA where he serves as chair of the firm's Health Care Industry Team and member of the firm's Life Sciences and Senior Living Industry Teams. He represents hospitals, health systems and academic medical centers and a variety of other health care providers. Lawrence runs strategic planning programs for senior management and governing boards. He regularly serves as local counsel on health care transactions in New England for multi-state projects. Lawrence earned his B.A. from New College of Florida and his J.D. and Master's in public health from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire. Lawrence is the past co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Health Law Section (2006-2008 term). He serves on the editorial boards of JONA's Journal of Healthcare Law, Ethics, & Regulation; and Medicine & Health/Rhode Island. Lawrence is one of nine members of the Medical Economics' Board of Legal Editorial Consultants. For several years, he has been co-chair of MCLE's comprehensive Health Law Basics program and the advanced Health Law Conference. Lawrence is a member of the Board of Corporators of Hallmark Health System, a multi-campus community hospital system in Massachusetts. He has published more than 40 articles and book chapters on various topics in law and medicine in such sources as AHLA's Health Law Digest and Health Lawyers Weekly; Medical Economics; The Journal of Health Care Finance; The Boston Business Journal; and Health Care Policy Report. Larry has been a part-time faculty member in Providence College's Health Policy and Management Program, where he taught health care law for eight years.
