APRIL GREEN is the directing attorney of the Domestic Violence Project of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. Ms. Green manages a staff of four attorneys and two paralegals representing victims of domestic violence and divorce, custody and child support matters. Ms. Green has been with Legal Aid Center since March of 2003 when she moved here from New York. April is also the current Chair of Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence, the statewide organization that helps Nevada’s communities respond effectively to the needs of victims of domestic violence. Ms. Green is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco, California and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She is a licensed attorney in New York and specially admitted in Nevada. Prior to coming to Nevada, April had her own private practice in New York where she practiced in the areas of divorce, real estate, probate and general litigation. She started her legal career as an associate with Meyers, Saxon & Cole in Brooklyn, New York practicing in the area of commercial litigation.
