M. Nelson Segel M Nelson Segel graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1978 and was Counsel to Commissioner of Securities for the State of Ohio from 1978-1980. He has engaged in a litigation oriented civil practice including Mediation, Arbitration, Bankruptcy and Stockbroker Disputes since 1981.Mr. Segel has been an arbitrator for the District Court of Clark County, Nevada since the inception of the Court annexed program. He has also been an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly NASD) since 1991. Mr. Segel became a Supreme Court Settlement Judge in 1999 and a Volunteer Mediator for the Neighborhood Justice Center in 2000. He is the Chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the State Bar of Nevada, a Short Trial Judge, a Justice of the Peace ProTempore, a Foreclosure Mediator and is on the Eighth Judicial District Court’s Panel of Mediators.Mr. Segel has been an instructor in numerous continuing legal education seminars, including, Supreme Court of Nevada Settlement Judge Training, State Bar of Nevada Arbitrator Training and various Clark County Bar Association Arbitration and Mediation Seminars. |
