Mr. Mann is the Public Information Manager at the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs. An Army veteran and service-connected disabled veteran, Mr. Mann is an accredited Veteran Service Officer. He is also the Legislative Director for the ODVA and has served as the Project Officer for the Governor’s Task Force on Veterans’ Services. Before joining ODVA, Mr. Mann worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency as an intelligence officer, where he managed worldwide human intelligence operations in support of national security objectives and the global war on terrorism, including Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to working for the Defense Department, Mr. Mann was the principal partner of MBM Strategies LLC, a political consulting and public relations firm that specialized in campaign management and government affairs. For 10 years, Mr. Mann worked in the Oregon legislative process, holding political appointments as a legislative assistant and committee administrator. Mr. Mann also worked as a contract lobbyist. Mr. Mann worked five regular sessions and seven special sessions. When the legislature was not in session, Mr. Mann consulted and managed local, state, and federal political campaigns.Before working in politics, Mr. Mann was an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor.
