Ms. Riverman is a registered nurse, board certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. In addition, she is a Fellow with the American Institute of Healthcare Quality, a Certified Information Security Manager, and certified in Governance of Enterprise Information Technology. As a consultant, she is well-known in the areas of health care IT and information security with special interests in security policy, health care privacy and security, privacy and security incident management, and security control frameworks. Ms. Riverman’s experience includes serving as VP Product Management at ETHIX Managed Care in the 1990s. With an interest in information technology, she joined a small start-up company designing an electronic medical record and tablet PC for Home Health. Following that, she built a physician office Electronic Medical Record (EMR), now a part of GE Centricity Healthcare. She served as Director of Healthcare Administrative Systems for Providence Oregon for several years, then was promoted to serve Providence’s 29 hospitals and more than 66,000 employees, physicians, and students in five western states as Director of Enterprise Security Operations.
