Wendy H. Sheinberg, Esq., CELA is a partner of the Law Firm of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern LLP.She has actively practiced law in New York State since 1992 her primary areas of practice are Guardianship, Elder Law, Trust and Estate Planning and Trust and Estate Administration. Wendy is one of fewer than 80 Fellows of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. The National Elder Law Foundation certified her as a Certified Elder Law Attorney. She has completed the Guardianship Training at the Samuel Sadin Institute on Law of the Brookdale Center on Aging at Hunter College and serves as a Part 36 Court Appointee. Wendy has lectured on topics including Guardianship, Special Needs, Elder Law and Estate Planning, Senior Housing, Estate and Income Tax and on Probate and Estate Administration, for the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the National Elder Law Foundation, the Jewish National Fund, United Cerebral Palsy, and many notable local civic and religious groups. Wendy has published articles on topics of Special Needs Planning, Elder Law, Ethics, Same Gender Estate Planning, Estate Planning in Matrimonial Proceedings, End of Life Decision Making and many other topics relating to Elder Law, Guardianship Estate and Special Needs Planning in publications such as the New York State Bar Association Law Journal, the University of South Dakota Law Review, the NAELA Quarterly, West's New York Elder Law Report, the NAELA News, Newsday, Senior News and the Journal of the Nassau County Bar Association, and in September 2007 was named one of the top 15 elder law attorneys in the New York Metro area by Super Lawyers, and have been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. I have awarded the NAELA Fellow Award which is the highest honor bestowed by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She has also been interviewed on radio and television programs on topics relating to Guardianship, Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Public Benefits. Wendy is a member of the Irish American Bar Association of New York, and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Long Beach Lawyers’ Association.
