Jerry Scowcroft Of Counsel Michael Bugni & Associates, PLLC, Seattle Jerry Scowcroft received a J.D. Degree from Duke University School of Law and an L.L.M in Taxation from the University Of Washington School Of Law. He came from New York to Seattle in 1986 to practice in areas related to maritime and commercial litigation and transactions. He has taught as an adjunct professor at the University Of Washington School Of Law and lectured classes at Duke, New York University, and Fordham University Schools of Law. He has published more than 20 articles and case notes and served on the editorial boards of several professional publications. In recent years his practice has concentrated in the areas of ERISA, estate planning, taxation, probate, guardianships, and appeals. He has extensive experience in the representation of litigants in administrative and judicial proceedings involving qualified domestic relations orders as well as the negotiation and drafting of retirement benefit orders under ERISA plans, Federal and State retirement benefit plans, military pension benefit plans, as well as individual retirement accounts and nonqualified plans. He works with family law practitioners throughout Western Washington in matters related to pension and welfare benefit plans, property agreements, and estate planning in domestic relations cases.[April 2011] |
