Judge Acosta is admitted to practice in both Oregon and Washington. He was formerly a litigation and trial attorney with Hughes Thorsness Gantz Powell & Brundin and Stoel Rives LLP and then served as Senior Deputy General Counsel for the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon. Judge Acosta chairs the Oregon Bench and Bar Commission on Professionalism and was an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon School of Law from 2001 to 2007.
