Daniel L. Thieme is a shareholder in the Seattle office of Littler Mendelson, P.C., the country’s largest employment law firm, where he practices exclusively in employment and labor law. As a significant part of his practice, he represents employers in class and collective wage and hour lawsuits in state and federal court, and advises employers on the avoidance of wage and hour claims. Dan is the author of the Washington State chapter of the BNA/ABA treatise, Wage and Hour Laws: A State-By-State Survey, and a contributing author to the Lexis/Nexis publications Littler Mendelson on Employment Law Class Actions, the National Employer and the Washington Employer. He is a member of the Washington Supreme Court's Gender and Justice Commission. Dan is a 1982 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School and received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Whitworth College in 1979.[September 2009]
