Thomas J. Reed, Esq. Professor of Law & Director, Veterans Law Clinic Widener University School of Law, Wilmington, DE Professor Reed is Professor Emeritus at Widener University School of Law. He grew up in Central Illinois, received his B.A. from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1962 and was commissioned a 2d Lt. U.S. Marine Corps. Professor Reed served four years, participating in the 1965 Dominican Republic Crisis, where he was awarded the Air Medal. He graduated from Notre Dame Law School in 1969 and practiced law in Richmond, Indiana, with Reller, Mendehall, Kleinknecht & Milligan until 1976, when he joined the faculty of Western New England Law School, Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1981, Professor Reed took a position with the Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, now known as Widener University School of Law. From 1984 to 1993, he served as Associate Dean & Professor of Law. Professor Reed returned to full-time teaching in 1993. From 1997 to 2010, he was the Director of the Veterans Law Clinic. He retired in 2010 and was appointed Professor Emeritus in 2011. He teaches Evidence and Land Use Planning and volunteers as a staff attorney in the Veterans Law Clinic. |
