Joe Mentor, Jr. practices natural resources and land use law in Seattle with the Mentor Law Group, PLLC. Joe represents a variety of public and private sector clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Joe developed and helped to implement a water supply strategy for the Suncadia Resort in Roslyn, Washington. Joe also advises Skagit County on issues related to instream flows and exempt well use. In addition, he is involved in numerous civic and professional activities and organizations, including serving as State Chapter President, American Water Resources Association (2004), and as a Technical Committee Co-Chair for the American Water Resource Association’s 2005 National Conference. He started his legal career as Law Clerk for Justice James M. Dolliver of the Washington Supreme Court. From 1983 through 1986, Joe served as Legislative Counsel to U.S. Senator Daniel J. Evans and from 1987 to 1989 as Minority Chief Counsel/Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Indian Affairs. He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound (B.A. 1979) and Washington & Lee University (J.D. 1982).
