John W. Jones

John W. Jones graduated in June 1969 from Western Washington State College (B.A., cum laude, majoring in history,) and graduated in December 1971 from Western Washington State College with an MA in History. John has 33 years experience in the title insurance industry. He began his career with Transnation Title Insurance Company in 1975 as a Branch Manger in King County, Washington before being promoted to Area Manager with responsibility for overseeing 5 branch offices, concentrating on sales and escrow closings. From 1980 to 1982 John worked as County Manager of the Clallam County operation, being responsible for all aspects of running a title/escrow operation. He returned to Transnation’s King County operation in 1982 as a Senior Account Manager. He then transferred into title operations in 1984 as a Senior Title Officer, before being named as head of the Commercial Unit in 1988. From 1988 to 2004, Mr. Jones ran the commercial unit for Land America Financial, underwriting for Transnation Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and Lawyers Title Insurance Company. Mr. Jones is currently employed by Stewart Title Guaranty Company in its Seattle National Title Services Office, holding the position of Vice President, Underwriter and Office Manager. Since joining Stewart Title Guaranty, Mr. Jones has underwritten the sale of 1001 Fourth Avenue in Seattle, the refinance of Pacific Place, the sale of the Safeco Campus, refinance of the Space Needle and served as the lead underwriter of the Bravern project in Bellevue.
