The Honorable Judge John Hyde is the 238th Judicial District Court Judge of Midland County, Texas. He obtained his Political Science degree from Hardin Simmons University in 1964 and his law degree from the University of Texas in 1967. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Judge Hyde was the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Midland from 1970-1975, and had a private law practice from 1975-1990, and was appointed to the bench by Governor Bill Clements in April of 1990.
