Richard A. Rappazzo, JD is the IRS Office of Chief Counsel Criminal Tax Area Counsel in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Rappazzo provides legal advice and support to IRS Criminal Investigation Directors, Field Operations, and Special Agents in Charge at all stages of criminal investigations and supervises eleven Criminal Tax attorneys within his area (covering Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, and Utah). Mr. Rappazzo graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. Thereafter, he graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University College of Law. Prior to joining the Office of Chief Counsel in 1995, Mr. Rappazzo worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Ernst and Young, LLP in Phoenix, Arizona.
